Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Arlington, Texas. Completed plans call for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the construction of a 106,860-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.

**As of June 23, 2021, this project has not yet been awarded. It is expected to be awarded in 8/5/2021. The project scope consists of a new ground up elementary school, with major site work. The new building is a total of 106,860 GSF. The new campus building is two stories with the Administration offices, Gymnasium, Media Center, Cafeteria and Kitchen on the first floor and classrooms on both first and second floors. The new facility will include 5 classrooms for grades Kindergarten through 6th and 4 classrooms for Pre-K. Each grade will have a collaboration space, and a teacher workroom. Also included in the new facility will be Fine Arts classrooms for music, strings and art, SPED programs, STEM science labs, and a Maker Space. The Gymnasium and service spaces will serve as the required ICC-500 compliant storm shelter. Outdoor spaces include a new entry plaza with feature wall and canopy, an outdoor learning courtyard, two separate playgrounds for different age groups, a paved court for basketball (non-regulatory size), and a play field. This project is for the construction of the Thornton Elementary School in Arlington ISD. This will include the new elementary school campus, and all associated site improvements.
