The work is part of a distribution system public improvement project which will be located at various locations throughout the City of New Hampton, Iowa. Electric Distribution Improvements - Phase 1 The general nature of the work on which bids will be received consists of the construction of 12.47 kV primary electric underground circuits. The project includes the installation of Owner-furnished transformers, padmount switchgear, boxpads, and 15 kV primary cable in Contractor-furnished and installed conduit in trench, bore, or other excavations. Base Bid-Parts 1+2: $3,994,000 The General, Supplemental, and other Conditions of the Contract are hereby made part of this Section. The construction herein specified is for Electric Distribution Improvements - Phase 1 for New Hampton Municipal Light Plant, New Hampton, IA. The specifications shall cover the labor and material for all equipment required to complete the work. The Contractor shall realize that the work specified herein consists of underground primary and secondary cable installation on existing right-of-way or easements, including the installation of padmount transformers, padmount switches, sectionalizing cabinets, secondary pedestals, and other equipment, all as shown on the staking sheets. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions in avoiding existing utilities.
