Site work for a transportation facility in Vancouver, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

As of July 19, 2021. the project has been awarded with the amount of $378,513.69. The Terminal 2 Track Crossing Project furnishes, installs and tests a highway grade rail crossing warning system. Work in this project is within of the security area of the Port requiring Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC). Clarification Deadline: 6/3/2021 12:00 PM The engineers estimate of cost for the project is $365,100 to $403,500 The Terminal 2 Track Crossing Project consists of furnishing, delivering, installing, and testing a highway grade rail crossing warning system. The Contractors scope includes, but is not limited to, providing and installing new gate mechanisms, gate arms and gate lights, flashing light assemblies, masts, junction boxes, foundations, bells, crossbucks, track signs, cable for the crossing signals, track wires, utility feed cable, track connections and other materials to complete the new crossing signals. Work also includes installation of an owner provided 6x 6 signal house to facilitate train detection and crossing warning system controls. All work shall be coordinated with the Port of Vancouver (Owner) and shall conform to the instructions provided by the Owner concerning work performed in the proximity of the railway, required on-track safety training of personnel, permission for fouling of the railway, flagging, personal protective equipment, and access to railway facilities. Additionally, the Contractor shall conform to the requirements of the Federal Railway Administration and AREMA C&S Manual best practices for work that affects the operation and safety of the movement of trains on the Owners tracks. Work in this project is within of the security area requiring Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC). See the Security Requirements section in the Special Provisions for additional information. Social distancing will be practiced and only one representative per company will be allowed at the site visit. Please be prepared to provide the COVID questionnaire. It can be printed, completed and turned in at the site walk or filled out on site. Questions must be submitted via the Port of Vancouver ProcureWare system no later than Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 12:00 PM. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cashiers check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Port of Vancouver. The Port of Vancouver reserves the right to cancel this invitation or reject any and all bids submitted or to waive any minor formalities of this call if, in the judgment of the Port Commissioners, the best interests of the Port would be served. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, unless the award of contract is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) days. If it is determined to be in the best interests of the Port, the Port reserves the right to request an extension of bid prices during the review process. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
