Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Santa Barbara, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a 4,109-square-foot water / sewer project; for paving for a road / highway; and road / highway.

The Project will replace the existing medium and low-voltage distribution equipment with new equipment. The Project will construct two new medium voltage switchgear buildings with one building housing 15 kV class switchgear, which will be electrically connected to an existing switchgear lineup while the other medium voltage electrical building will house 5 kV class switchgear. A medium voltage transformer will be installed to feed the 5 kV class switchgear from the 15 kV class switchgear. Three substation buildings will be constructed, which will contain close couple unit substations as well as motor control. New buildings will be cast-in-place construction, as grade, on auger cast piles. The unit substations will be fed from the 5 kV class switchgear and will refeed existing downstream motor control centers. The Project also includes the demolition of existing, and installation of new, electrical duct banks. The Project also includes the installation of a new waste gas flare, digester gas piping installation, stormwater conveyance improvements, which include the installation of an underground stormwater detention structure and grading and paving. Maintenance of treatment plant processes is required during equipment cutovers. Outages of equipment will be limited. Construct five (5) new concrete cast-in-place buildings. 2. Installation of new electrical distribution equipment. 3. Provide new electrical connections to existing electrical equipment. 4. Installation of new electrical duct banks. 5. Installation of new network communication equipment and infrastructure. 6. Installation of a new fiber optic communication network. 7. Relocation of existing flare control panel to a new location. 8. Installation of new digester gas piping. A digester gas shutdown will be required, involving coordination with plant staff. The CONTRACTOR will be responsible for purging of digester gas piping with nitrogen gas to facility the shutdown and to return gas piping back into service. 9. Digester gas piping will be installed under a plant road in a utilidor. 10. Construct new cast-in-place concrete pad and screen wall for new waste gas burner, including deep foundations. 11. Installation of a new low NOx waste gas burner. 12. Construction of new storm water remediation infrastructure. 13. Testing, training, and commissioning of the new equipment as specified in this contract. 14. Construct retaining walls and other site civil related structures.
