Project has been Awarded but Award amount was not confirmed. Construction of a new concrete fishing pier for the Town of Surfside Beach. The fishing pier will include construction of three two-story wood framed buildings with sloped roofs atop the concrete pier level. The second building level will be utilized for storage. An open outdoor dining patio will be adjacent to one building and a timber shade structure will be located at the end of the pier. Access to the pier level will be provided via stairs, elevators and a ramp. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days following opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor informalities and irregularities and select the bid that is in the best interest of the Town. Bidders shall begin work upon receipt of 'Notice to Proceed' and to complete the work within the Contract Time indicated in the Contract Documents. Work is subject to Liquidated Damages indicated in the Contract Documents. Bidders must be properly licensed and insured under the state and local laws governing their respective trades appropriate to the size of the Project. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to the Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Contractor must provide proof of insurance and obtain all licenses and permits prior to commencement of work.Bidders and their subcontractors shall meet qualification requirements indicated in the Contract Documents. A copy of the Owner's Minority Participation Policy is attached.Submission of a bid shall serve as evidence that the Bidder has confirmed that the Bidder is properly qualified to perform the work and is capable of obtaining the required bonds and insurance. Bidders shall submit evidence in affidavit form of applicable experience, licensure, approvals, and certifications, adequate financial resources, work in hand capacity, adequate organization, and acceptable past performance. Submittal will be in the form of AIA Document A305 Contractor's Qualification Statement. Bidder's qualification information shall be considered privileged and confidential.
