Clarification Deadline: 3/27/2020 11:00 AM The Project consists of furnishing the necessary labor, materials, and equipment required for repainting a 41.5 feet diameter above ground steel clarifier, including interior surface of the tank, clarifier mechanisms, access bridge and perimeter walkway. There will be no pre-bid conference. Bidders wishing to visit the Site may schedule inspections as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Addenda, if any, will be issued through the PennBid Program. The Manheim Area Water and Sewer Authority, Owner, reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, to waive any informality in bids received, and to accept the Bid, which is in the best interest of the Authority, consistent with the laws affecting municipal contract awards. Work of the Project includes repainting of Clarifier No. 3. The clarifier is an aboveground steel tank, 41.5 feet diameter with a nominal sidewall height of 17 feet. Surfaces to be repainted include: 1. Interior surface of tank wall, including underside of effluent trough to effluent weir. 2. Clarifier mechanism including influent pipe, rotating rake assembly, influent well, sludge well, supporting steel, return activated sludge pipe, scum skimmer arm, and scum trough. 3. Clarifier Access Bridge support steel and Drive Assembly support plate. 4. Perimeter Walkway support steel and walk plates.
