The City of Lewisville is accepting bids for the Timber Creek Erosion Repair Project. The scope of work for the project consists of modifying the existing storm drain outfall for Valley Vista Estates to address channel and outfall erosion. Bidders are required to submit a cashier's or certified check issued by a bank satisfactory to the City of Lewisville, or a Bid Bond (with proper Power of Attorney) from a surety licensed to do business in the State of Texas, payable without recourse to the City of Lewisville, in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the total amount of the base bid submitted to insure that the successful bidder will enter into a contract and execute all necessary bonds within fifteen (15) days after notice of award of the contract to him. The bid security MUST be uploaded with bid documents to Bidsync or included within bid envelope along with the bid sheet for the bidder to be considered responsive. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance, payment and maintenance bonds as described in the specifications. The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code, may apply to this bid and the contractor or vendor agrees that the contract can be terminated if the contractor or vendor knowingly or intentionally fails to comply with a requirement of that subchapter.
