Site work, new construction and renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Calgary, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 17,000-square-foot, two-story above grade clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a clubhouse / community center.
Multidisciplinary Disability Community Arts Hub (MDCAH) Construction Project. MDCAH is a new two storey mass timber building, purposefully designed as a barrier free performing arts training and creation centre for artists living with disabilities. MDCAH is part of the federal Green and Inclusive Community Buildings (GICB) initiative, registered for ZCB certification under CaGBC version 3, and fully electrified. Upon receipt of approval by the City of Calgary, MDCAH will be located in the community of West Hillhurst, Calgary. In recognition of this historic generosity, the NaAC's multidisciplinary performing arts learning venue - the jewel of its accessible arts campus - will be named The Joseph Chung Centre for Creativity. The Joseph Chung Centre will be a two-storey mass timber facility serving as a performing arts training and creation centre for artists living with disabilities. Delivered through the federal Green and Inclusive Community Buildings initiative, the project is targeting Zero Carbon Building certification.
