Renovation of an educational facility in Albany, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of August 13, 2020 This project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Work of this contract includes removals and repair of spalled/delaminated concrete of canopy ceiling, overhangs, columns and the exterior concrete restoration of building facades and demolition / PCB abatement work. All work shall be accordance with construction drawings and specifications. Contractor must be able to secure a performance bond for the full amount of their bid and should be prepared to anticipate a value in excess of $4,000,000 for this project. Please note that this project is exempt from the Wicks Law. The State University of New York at Albany project specific goals for this project are 23.3% MBE and 6.8% WBE and 6% SDVOB. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.
