The 176th Air Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, JBER, AK, intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single firm fixed-price contract for construction of a munitions inspection assembly facility at the 176th Wing Campus, Alaska Air National Guard, JBER, AK. Work consists of constructing the maintenance and inspection (M&I) facility including insulation, power, surge protection, telephone, internet, HVAC, floor drains, eye wash/shower station, shop air, cyphered man doors, rollup garage doors, concrete floor with drains and grounding points, grounding bars, lightning protection, and bathrooms. An exterior parking pad is required with outlets for vehicle plug-in and exterior lighting. Relocation of nearby utilities including natural gas and high-voltage electric lines is also required to meet explosives safety criteria. An option will be included to install, terminate, and connect to source any associated telecommunications cabling required to provide full telecommunications capability as described in the plans and specifications. The magnitude of the project, to include the option, is between $1,000,000 - $5,000,000 A bid bond in the amount of 20% of the offer is required.
