Description of Work: The work includes, in general, of the removal of composition roofing materials and the installation of 60 mil Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) single-ply membrane over the existing roof deck. The WORK includes , in general, the removal of composition roofing materials and the installation of 60 mil Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) single-ply membrane over the existing roof deck. Work elements for the roof shall include, but not be limited to, removal of existing roofing; installation of new roofing; repair of failed roof sections, fascia board and rafter tails; working around existing mechanical, electrical, conduits and HVAC equipment and materials; removal and replacement of the solar heating system; pedestrian traffic control; disposal of debris; and final cleaning. Work elements for the roof shall include, but not be limited to, removal of existing roofing; installation of new roofing; repair of failed roof sections, fascia board and rafter tails; working around existing mechanical and electrical conduits and HVAC equipment and materials; removal and replacement of the solar heating system; pedestrian traffic control; disposal of debris; and final cleaning. The scale of the reduced drawings is about one-half of the original scale. At the bidder's request and expense, the contract documents may be sent by overnight mail. Full-scale drawings are not available. Project bidding requirements may only be amended by addenda issued by authorized City officials. Following the prebid conference/site visit, prospective bidders may submit detailed technical questions in writing. If warranted, the City may respond to such questions by addenda.
