The New York Power Authority (hereafter, the AUTHORITY and/or NYPA invites you to submit a proposal for installation of a fully digital substation at its Saranac Substation located in Cadyville, NY. The Saranac Digital Substation project will be issued as an EPC Contract. The major project scope items include engineering, design, procurement, delivery, and installation and commissioning of a new Control House, an IEC 61850 based, integrated Substation Protection, Automation and Control system, and an emergency Diesel Generator. Additionally, the following items are also included in the Contractor's scope: (1) Digging and construction work at the substation for cable trenching, footings and foundations; (2) Replacement /Installation of four 115KV circuit breakers (new circuit breakers to be provided by the Authority); (3) Replacement of existing Disconnect Switches; (3) Development of new operating, maintenance and test procedures for the new IEC 61850 Digital Substation architecture. Commensurate experience is required for this project. Contract will be awarded to a NYPA approved BES (Bulk Electric System) supplier.
