Site work and remodeling of a water / sewer project in Santa Cruz, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the remodel of a water / sewer project.

**As of 8/6/2020 Project award time frame will be October 2020. The City of Santa Cruz Water Department is replacing three concrete tanks and their associated pumps and piping. Replacement anks will be of similar size and capacity, and will be pre-stressed concrete tanks. Additionally, two new pump stations, an electrical building, and electrical upgrades will also be constructed. The City of Santa Cruz Water Department (City) is a public agency with the responsibility to provide safe drinking water to over 95,000 customers. The Graham Hill Water Treatment Plant (GHWTP) is the City's lone surface water treatment plant and it supplies the service area with 95% of its potable water. The project involves replacing three of the GHWTP's existing concrete tanks that are past their anticipated service life and two associated pump stations. The three tanks to be replaced are the 1.0 MG Filtered Water Storage Tank, the 0.75 MG Wash Water Reclamation Tank, and the 0.75 MG Solids Storage Tank. These three tanks will be located in the same general area as the current tanks. The two pump stations to be replaced are the Reclaim Pump Station and the Wash Water Supply Pump Station, both of which will be relocated to an at-grade location near the new tanks. The Reclaim Pump Station will consist of two vertical turbine pumps, each with a capacity of 694 gpm. The Wash Water Supply Pump Station will consist of two vertical turbine pumps each with a capacity of 2,083 gpm. Two new pump stations, the Decant Port Effluent Pump Station and the Solids Pump Station vault, will also be constructed as part of this project. The Decant Pump Station will consist of two submersible pumps, each with a capacity of 200 gpm. The Solids Pump Station will consist of two rotary lobe pumps, each with a capacity of 200 gpm. The associated underground piping and controls will also to be constructed for each of the tanks and pump stations above. Several retaining walls around the project site will also be added, and the existing access roadway will be widened. The Concrete Tanks Replacement Project consists of the following principal features: Decommission and demolish the existing Sludge Storage Tank and piping o Construct the new Solids Storage Tank Construct the new Reclaim Tank Construct new Reclaim Pump Station and piping Construct new Decant Pump Station and piping Construct new Solids Pump Station and piping Construct new Wash Water Supply Pump Station Construct new approximately 10' x 36' Electrical Building and electrical improvements Decommission and remove the existing Reclaim Pumps Decommission and demolish the existing Wash Water Reclamation Tank Decommission and demolish the existing Filtered Water Tank Decommission and remove the existing Wash Water Supply Pumps Construct the new raceway Treated Water Tank Construct piping for new the Wash Water Supply Pump Station Engineer's Estimate: $30,000,000-$35,000,000
