The Project shall be known as Woodland Forest Sanitary and Storm Sewer Rehab Project and the general character of said public works project shall consist of the following: Cured in Place Lining of storm and sanitary sewers. Cured in Place lining of approximately 450 LF of 18-inch storm sewer, Cured in Place lining of approximately 45 LF of 24-inch storm sewer, Cured in Place liner of approximately 195 LF of 8-inch sanitary sewer. An alternate of cured in place lining of approximately 85 LF of 36-inch storm sewer. Due to the current COVID-19 health risk, the City is operating under slightly differing conditions. In an attempt to reduce the exposure of all parties involved to the COVID-19 virus, the number of people allowed to attend the bid opening will be limited. Bidders may only send one representative each to the bid opening and maintain a 6' distance from others at all times during the meeting. Representatives must be healthy, not showing any signs or symptoms of illness. Representatives must also enter City Hall through the door at the top of the parking deck and through the walkway, this is the only publicly accessible entrance to the complex. The project has a goal of ten to twenty percent (10-20%) MBE/DBE/WBE participation. Provide a brief summary of how this goal will be achieved. Failure to submit this form may result in a bid being rejected for non-responsiveness. There will NOT be Pre-Bid Conference. Each bidder must submit with its bid a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a fully executed bid bond on the form that is contained in the Contract Documents executed by a surety company duly authorized and qualified to make bond in the State of Alabama. All bonds, sureties and/or cashier checks will be made payable to the City for an amount not less than 5 percent of the City's or its engineers or architects estimated cost of the Project or of the total bid in the proposal, but in no event more than $10,000.00. The City reserves the right to reject all bids and/or reject and rebid the Project should it determine the same is in the best interest of the City. *This project timeline has been extended due to the public health crisis.
