Renovation of a swimming pool in Westbury, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
The Aquatic Center is in need of an extensive amount of renovation in its main pool area. This is to repair damage caused by excessive airborne levels of chlorine due to an improperly designed/installed HVAC system. The current system has corroded and is in urgent need of rehabilitation. This project is included in the Nassau County's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of June 16, 2025, information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed.
