Site work for a water / sewer project in Fresno, California. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of 10/2/2020 all bids are rejected. The work includes test hole drilling and construction of a monitoring well to determine feasibility of drilling a water production well at Pump Station 17-2. The work to be completed under this Contract shall consist of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, fuel, tools, transportation, and services for the drilling, sampling, and logging of a test hole and for the construction and development of a nested-type monitoring well after reaming the test hole. The direct circulation rotary drilling method of construction shall be employed.General requirements to complete the work include drilling a test hole to a minimum depth of nine hundred (900) and a maximum depth of twelve hundred (1,200) feet. Total depth of the test hole shall depend on the location and the lithology encountered while drilling. A driller's log shall be prepared by the Contractor to define the lithology encountered during construction and drill cuttings of the formations shall be collected. The test hole shall be geophysically logged with electrical logging equipment. Sieve analyses of select aquifer materials encountered shall be conducted by an approved soils laboratory. A monitoring well will be designed by the City based upon an evaluation of the test hole data. In the event a site is determined to be objectionable by the Owner, the Contractor may be directed to destroy the test hole in accordance with these Specifications. To complete the conversion of the test hole into a monitoring well, the entire depth of the test hole shall be reamed to diameters of eight (8) to twelve (12) inches. Two (2) to four (4) individual piezometers constructed of PVC casing and screen shall be installed in the reamed borehole as shown on Exhibit B. Annular sealing material and graded gravel filter media shall be alternately placed in the annulus between the piezometers and borehole wall to isolate the screened section of each piezometer from the others. Placement shall be by the tremie pipe method. The gravel envelope shall be developed by swabbing each screen section and airlift pumping each piezometer. Online Q&A Yes.
