Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Edmonton, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 156,000-square-foot, 12-story above grade, 3,200-seat educational facility; 240-bed medical facility; and elderly care / assisted living facility.
Plans call for a new Teaching and Research Continuing Care Centre (TRCCC) project, an integrated learning, health, and residential facility in Edmonton's downtown. This will be a first of its kind initiative, employing the expertise of public sector while harnessing the development opportunity and private industry expertise through public-private partnership (P3 Strategy). The proposed project site includes 10212 -108 Street and 10230/44 108 Street. NorQuest College and Covenant Care will contribute a long-term lease on space including but not limited to 18,391 m2 of residential space and 1,527 m2 of office space and central service space for Covenant; 12,581 m2 of educational space (classrooms, labs, simulation rooms) and 1,912 m2 of employee, common service and central building support for Norquest. TIMELINE: Project is conceptual and pending provincial funding. Timelines for design, tender and construction to be determined. Further update may be available in 2026. *Total cost estimated at $240 million.
