Renovation of a mixed-use development in Yuba City, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.

As of May 11, 2020, all trades have been let. Governing Board (Board) of the Yuba City Unified School District (District) will receive sealed bids for the following project (Project): Transportation / Maintenance Modulars The Project consists of: The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and non-owner supplied materials to demolish and remove Building B from the Transportation / Maintenance Yard located at 1512 Stewart Road, Yuba City, CA 95993. The District shall remove Buildings C and D. The contractor shall complete site work and foundations at the Transportation / Maintenance Yard. The contractor shall disconnect utilities and relocate four existing portable buildings from Central Gaither Elementary School located at 8403 Bailey Road, Yuba City, CA 95993 to the Transportation / Maintenance Yard. The contractor shall install all modular Building buildings per plans and connect to site utilities. Contractor shall possess at the time of its bid, the following classification(s) of Contractor's California State license(s): B - General Such sealed bids shall be received at the Maintenance Office, Yuba City Unified School District, 1512 Stewart Rd, Yuba City, CA 95993. Each bid must conform and be fully responsive to all documents comprising the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be made on the Bid Proposal Form prepared by the District in the Contract Documents. Contractor and its subcontractors shall pay all workers on the Project not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. Prevailing wage rates are available from the District or on the Internet at: Contractor and its subcontractors shall comply with the registration and qualification requirements pursuant to sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 of the California Labor Code. The District will permit the substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments in accordance with Public Contract Code section 22300. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District, cash, or a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Proposal Form, as a guarantee that the Contractor will, within seven (7) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed or other direction, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the Services as stipulated in the bid. In addition, a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond will be required of the successful bidder. Each bid must include the name and location of the place of business of each subcontractor who shall perform/work on this Contract in excess of one-half of one percent (1/2 of 1%) of the bid price. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening for bids except as permitted pursuant to Public Contract Code Sections 5100 et seq. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding.
