Site work and paving for a road / highway in Aurora, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Reconstruction of the Broadway (Illinois Route 25) streetscape from New York to Benton Streets per the Downtown Master Plan, the Riverfront Vision Plan, and the RiverEdge Park Master Plan. The projects include public private partnerships; environmental mitigation; land preparation; open space/park creation; infrastructure improvements; streetscape upgrades; furnishings; and associated consulting, engineering, and design fees, including various parking lot improvements near Broadway. Design is underway for the Broadway improvements, with construction having commenced in 2023. In addition to this item, GC075 will provide other improvements west of Broadway to allow for the intersection modifications required to improve Broadway. The project is included in the City's 2026-2035 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of April 28,2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
