Base Bid: Replacement of roof sections 69B (Approximately 4,361 Square Feet) and 69C (Approximately 7,569 Square Feet). Roof replacement will be a fully adhered EPDM 90 mil roof with dens decking and no mechanical fasteners. Installation to follow manufacturer's requirements to achieve manufacturer's 30 year warranty and the above bid specifications. Base bid to include removal of roof access hatch on Roof 69B. Alternate Bid Item #1: Replacement of Ellerbe Room Roof Section 179 with a fully adhered EPDM 90 mil roof with dens decking and no mechanical fasteners. Installation to follow manufacturer's requirements to achieve 30 year warranty and the above bid specifications for Roofs 69B and 69C. Alternate Bid Item #2: Cost to install a standing seam roofing system over the skylight structure on Ellerbe Room Roof Section 179 instead of a 90 mil EPDM roofing system. EPDM from Alternate #1 to extend up the walls of the skylight structure and underneath the Standing Seam roof a minimum of 6 inches on the top of the structure. Remainder of skylight structure to have weather barrier installed prior to installation of standing seam roof. Any interested contractors shall contact the project contacts listed in this document for further instruction on how to attend the virtual conference. Those bidders in attendance will receive a Certificate of Attendance signed by a City of Mankato employee. This Certificate must be submitted with your bid proposal. Bids not accompanied by this Certificate will be rejected. Onsite review of the project can be set up by contacting the project contacts listed in this document. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to the City Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by City Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by City Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
