Phase 1A is slated to begin August 2023 includes improvements on the east side of the existing track, including underground utility work, a berm grass seating area for 2,400 people, new free-standing field lights, a ticket pavilion, restroom/storage buildings and plaza, the news release says. Phase 1B is slated to begin June 2024, will widen the grass field into a regulation-sized soccer field, as well as reconfigure the eight-lane track. This phase will also include new aluminum bleacher seating at the north and south sides of the track to seat about 3,460 spectators.
