CIPP Sewer Rehabilitation - Various Locations 2020 City Project No. MUS-20-002 The base bid of this project includes the CIPP rehabilitation of approximately 8,050 lineal feet of 10-inch, 12-inch, 15-inch, 18-inch, 20-inch, and 21-inch sewer pipe and manhole rehabilitation at multiple locations. Also included in the base bid are spot liners at5locations in diameters of 12-inch and 15- inch. Included in the project are sixteen add alternates for CIPP rehabilitation of approximately 6,322 lineal feet of 10-inch, 12- inch, 15-inch, 18-inch, 20-inch, 24-inch, 36-inch, and 48-inch sewer pipe and manhole rehabilitation. Copies of the Contract Documents and Plans are available for examination at the Office of the City Engineer / Director of Engineering, Room 200 in the City Hall, Mishawaka, Indiana; and at the offices of the Engineer, Lawson-Fisher Associates P.C., 525 West Washington Avenue, South Bend, Indiana 46601. The contractor preforming the CIPP Lining shall be prequalified by the City of Mishawaka. A certified check payable to the City of Mishawaka, Indiana or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and surety company, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The bidder awarded the contract will be required to furnish a separate Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one-hundred twenty-five percent (125%) of the contract price before commencing work. The Performance Bond and Payment Bond shall remain in effect throughout the entire construction period, and in addition,a Maintenance Bond in an amount of 10% for a period of three years from the date of final completion will be required. Each bidder shall be required to complete all documents listed in the Checklist for Bidders. Each bidder shall be required to complete the Bid Form included with these documents. The substantial completion date for this project shall be October 30, 2020. The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Mishawaka, Indiana, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding and to make an award in the best interest of the City. No bid or bid security may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least sixty (60) days.
