The Lancaster County School District is soliciting competitive quotes for turn-key sink hole repair at Harrisburg Elementary School and Indian Land High School Softball field. Construction Cost Range:$10,000-$20,000 SCOPE OF WORK/SPECIFICATIONS Objective: The Lancaster County School District is soliciting competitive quotes for turn-key sink hole repair at Harrisburg Elementary School and Indian Land High School Softball field. SPECIFICATIONS: Harrisburg Elementary School, 10251 Harrisburg Road, Indian Land, SC 29707: 1. Remove existing outlet pipe. (Approximately six (6) feet deep & Approximately twenty (20) feet from end of outlet pipe) 2. Install new outlet pipe. 3. Fill sink hole (approximately fifteen (15) yards.) 4. All fill must be compacted and sew grass on effected areas. 5. Remove and Reinstall Fence at sink hole. Indian Land High School Softball Field, 8063 River Road, Indian Land, SC 29707: 1. Replace five by five (5x5) storm drain manhole top. 2. Back fill around new top and sew grass in effected area. Service Requirements: 1. All work must be coordinated with Tim Bowers, Project Manager, (803) 577-3790. a. Site Visit upon request. Contact Tim Bowers for a site visit. 2. Security: (a) The contractor shall be responsible for safeguarding against loss, theft, or damage of all district’s property, materials, equipment and accessories that might be exposed to the contractor’s employee(s). 3. Damage or Theft: Contractor shall be responsible for the repair or replacement, to the satisfaction of the district, any damage to the facility caused by any employee of the contractor. The contractor shall be responsible for any loss or damage to property including money, securities, merchandise, fixtures, and equipment belonging to the district or to any other person or organization to such extent as the district is legally liable for such loss or damage. If any such loss or damage was caused by the contractor or contractor’s employees during the performance of the contract, and it is determined that the contractor’s employees are responsible, the contractor is legally liable. Contractor will always take a neutral position between contractor’s employee and the district and investigate the matter in order to protect the relationship with the district. 4. Contractor Responsibilities: (a) Contractor shall provide the name and telephone number of the person(s) who will be the point of contact with the District’s Project Manager. (b) Contractor shall be responsible for the supervision and direction of the work performed by contractor’s employees, sub-contractors and sub-subcontractors. (c) The contractor shall be responsible for instructing contractor’s employees in all applicable safety measures and requirements. All equipment used by the contractor shall be in safe operating condition at all times, and shall be free from defects or wear which may in any way constitute a hazard to any person or persons on district property. The contractor shall be responsible for instructing contractor’s employees to wear proper personal protective equipment while performing work under this contract. (d) All forms of tobacco products, alcohol, and drugs shall not be allowed on district’s premises. (e) Guns, knives, or other dangerous weapons shall not be allowed on district’s premises. (f) Contractor shall obtain a full criminal background check for contractor’s employees and other persons carrying out the contract on the contractor’s behalf. The contractor shall not permit employment of any person with a criminal record without written permission of the district. Contractor must check the following databases at a minimum, South Carolina criminal check (SLED), North Carolina criminal check, Sex Offender registries, and Social Security number verification. Upon request of the district, the contractor shall furnish proof that such background checks were executed and the restrictions on employment mandated by the district were followed. Contractor shall be responsible for cost associated with background checks. (g) Contractor shall not permit employment of any person with felony drug convictions or with convictions on associated or directed weapons charges. (h) The successful contractor must provide ID Badges for all employees on the job site. The successful contractor, contractor’s employees, all subcontractors and sub-subcontractors must wear a company ID Badge to be designated by the contracted vendor at all times while on district premises. Delivery / Performance Location – Purchase Order: After award, all deliveries shall be made and all services provided to the location specified by the District in its purchase order(s). ?
