As of January 27, 2025 is approximately 50% complete. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is requesting interested Design-Build teams, Operations, Maintenance and Commercialization teams, and Public Private Partnership teams to submit qualifications for the project, I-5986C & R-5777D, to install fiber-optic communications cable and conduitalongInterstate I-95 corridor in Robeson, Cumberland, Harnett, Johnston, Wilson, Nash, Halifax and Northampton counties and Wake, Johnston, Wayne, Lenoir, Craven and Carteret counties along the U.S. 70, future I-42, corridor. Questions related to the RFQ package, or other project related questions, shouldbe sent via email todesignbuild@ncdot.gov. Answers to proposer questions will be posted via an addendum to the RFQ.
