The work is generally described as follows: The "Work" of this Contract is to include, but is not limited to, providing all labor and materials for the TAXIWAY CRACK SEALING AND SEAL COAT / CONTRACT 02 project at Tupelo Regional Airport. The scope of work generally consists of (but is not limited to): joint and crack sealing, seal coat application, and marking. Project includes some 63,300 square yards of seal coat and 30,000 square feet of pavement marking Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show a current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi Board of Public Contractors establishing classification as to the value and type of construction work on which he is authorized to bid. Bidders' attention is directed to the Instructions to Bidders relative to pre-award, equal employment opportunity requirements, and non-segregated facilities. Bids must be submitted on the standard form of bid proposal and must include a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Bid. The successful bidder will be required to execute the standard form of Contract and Agreement, together with a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond, within 5 days after formal award of the contract. Each Bidder's attention is called to Section 31-3-21 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended. This provides in part as follows: "When a nonresident contractor submits a bid for a public project, he shall attach thereto a copy of his resident state's current law pertaining to such state's treatment of nonresident contractors." The award, if made, will be made to the party submitting the bid deemed most favorable to the TUPELO AIRPORT AUTHORITY at the time the conditions are stipulated. The TUPELO AIRPORT AUTHORITY reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received.
