The Forest Avenue Booster Pump Station was constructed in 1966 and requires rehabilitation. The rehabilitation shall include, but not be limited to, replacement of two 1- milion gallons per day (MGD) pumps; installation of variable frequency drives; update of electrical service; upgrade of emergency generator/transfer switch; installation of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) to the Lawton Valley Water Treatment Plant (LVWTP) and Station 1. Project is included in the City of Newport's FY 2025 - 2029 CIP. As of September 11, 2025, this project has been deferred one year. This project is budgeted for fiscal years 2026 - 2029*. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
