The contractor is primarily responsible for constructing the concrete bridge structure as well as the associated structures, reinforcement, and necessary excavation, drilling, boring, shoring, formwork, and other actions necessary to construct the project's structures, as described by the project drawings. The contractor must comply with the requirements of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineering, the Arkansas Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ) permit, and the Arkansas DEQ-County Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan requirements, as included in the appendices of these Specifications. The County is responsible for the demolition of the existing 5-culvert bridge structures prior to the contractor starting work, final stream bed restoration after the contractor has completed the concrete bridge structure, approaches, and associated soil stabilization rip-rap, and the County is responsible for the new roadway to the new bridge structure outside of the extents of the contractor's project site after the contractor has completed the concrete bridge structure, approaches, and associated soil stabilization rip-rap.
