Site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Montreal, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a 61,500-square-foot, three-story above grade, one-story below grade, 523-seat educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Expansion and alterations to the high school building. The scope of the project includes the construction of an addition to house professional training classes, laboratories and multipurpose rooms for 523 additional students, repairs to the roof, upgrades to the anti-intrusion system, interior renovation, parking improvement and yard landscaping work. TIMELINE: Due to funding constraints and the need to make 200-million-dollar budget compression to the school funding system, the Quebec government has informed the project owner of new budgetary arrangements. The Montreal School Service Centre (CSSDM) must comply with this financial reality. To do so, it must slow down the pace of planned spending on its real estate portfolio and work within the available funds allocated. The project was put on hold for an indefinite period. Future of the project is not known. If/when the project realization restart, it will be followed in a new separate report. Coverage or this report has been discontinued.
