Site work and new construction of a civil project in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of Water Plant No. 2 Phase 1 Including Water Well, GSTs. Booster Pumps and Hydropneumatic Tanks Serving Harris County MUD No. 49 Establish minimum requirements for the surface preparation and the application of the protective coating system, including the minimum requirements for the equipment utilized to properly prepare the surfaces for coating and the equipment utilized to apply the protective coating system. Establish requirements for the surface preparation of interior and exterior surfaces of steel water storage tanks, pump station equipment for maintenance application of paints and considerations for handling of debris. The materials and methods used by the CONTRACTOR shall consider the potential toxicity of the removed paint and the potential hazards of the abrasive debris. Establish requirements for disposal of steel water storage tanks, appurtenances and considerations for handling of debris. The materials and methods used by the CONTRACTOR shall consider the potential toxicity of the removed paint and the potential hazards of the abrasive debris. This project consists of a 1,500 gpm Water Well, 2 - 320,000 gallon Ground Storage Tanks, 4 - 1,200 gpm Booster Pumps and 2 - 20,000 gallon Hydropneumatic Tanks. Further information regarding scope of work is described in the unit price schedule, as well as the project drawings. All testing shall be done and paid by HCMUD 49 with the testing being done by Ninyo &Moore (Jay Sanderwala at 713-937-8400) refer to the supplemental instructions to bidders (SIB) portion of the contract and the line items within the unit price schedule. The line item in the unit price schedule is the cost for the contractor to coordinate with Ninyo & Moore during construction for testing requests. The Wastewater Treatment Plant Site is located South of N Sam Houston Pkwy E and East of Fall Creek Preserve Dr., immediately west of Garners Bayou. The COH is currently constructing a 108" waterline across the entrance of the project. Access and materials may need to be temporarily blocked at the moment but should not impact the project during construction. Contractor should be aware coordination with COH may be necessary, but their contractor has been accommodating in coordination efforts with the MUD.
