Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Auburn, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a two-story above grade religious / funeral development.

The Thompson Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church 1889 was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2000, because of its association, place of worship, of Harriet Tubman and the location of her Funeral Service. The Church is a late Victorian, rectangular, two-story frame building with an ornate front facade composed of decorative wood shingles, carved brackets and 4 over 4 double hung sash with colored glazing. The steeple is partially truncated, it was originally a taller, slender and ornate structure that was altered sometime in the early twentieth century. The First floor consists of a vestibule, stairs to second story Gallery and basement; "auditorium/Sanctuary; Apse and Parsons Office. The First floor and Gallery retain a high degree of integrity to the historic period. The basement has been substantially altered throughout its's life. Estimated Magnitude: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 Scope of Work: Site: Install accessible path from sidewalk to front entrance; new utility hookups; remove back yard invasive, grade and seed. Exterior: Restore belfry and spire; New wood shingle roof; restore exterior front faced window opening, front door; repair exterior trim and siding; repoint foundation; rehabilitate front stoop and sidewalk (Accessible Ramp); correct exterior drainage and window wells. Interior: restore Gallery and basement staircase; restore interior decorative paint scheme; restore apse and stage. Restore interior lighting and heating supply and return grates. Preserve and repair historic period trim, flooring, plaster and finishes and associated hardware. Systems: Provide new electrical wiring, outlets and fixtures, including new underground electrical service. Provide intrusion and fire detection systems. Provide partial fire suppression system. Parsonage The Parsonage, a Contributing Feature to the National Historic Landmark District. Exterior is to be restored to its 1910 appearance and the interior adaptively reused for visitor contact and operational use. Adjacent to the AME Zion Church, the Parsonage is a simple four-square two-story wood frame structure with front facade ornamentation limited to shingle and wood porch detailing. Scope of Work: The Parsonage exterior would be completed while the interior would be rehabilitated to provide accessible bathroom, visitor contact space and park office. The second-floor finishes will be repaired, and bathroom fixtures replaced. Site: Replace and repair sidewalks and an accessible path; complete utility hookups; grade and reseed disturbed site. Exterior: Reconstruction of the front porch (with and accessible lift), steps, walk connecting to the public sidewalk. misc. masonry repairs. Interior: Installation of drainage system; repair first floor walls, ceilings, flooring, trim, finishes, missing doors and all window and door associated hardware. Construct new accessible restroom. Systems: Complete installation of electrical service; fire protection and security systems; heating and cooling systems. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), code will be 236220. The small business size standard will be $33.5 million average annual revenue for the previous three years. Again, at this time the NPS is not accepting proposals but is requesting that interested businesses respond to this notice by furnishing the following information by June 14, 2019. (1)Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and email address. (2)Business type: 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Woman Owned Business, large or small business, etc. (3)Provide a general statement of your qualifications, capabilities and ability to perform the required types of work. (4)Brief description of construction & design / build services similar to that described above provided within the past 5 years. Minimum information should include the following: Contract price, project location, date of services, a brief description of the services. Do not send photos at this time. Contracts / projects submitted must be similar in scope and dollar value to the work described in this sources sought. Responders should demonstrate that they have the capacity to perform all aspects of the types of work described in this sources sought notice, either by their in-house capabilities or through their teaming / subcontractor's capabilities. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
