This project involves the rehabilitation of five (5) surficial production wells located in Boca Raton and two (2) surficial production wells located in Delray Beach, the replacement of three (3) surficial production wells located in Delray Beach, the construction of one (1) new surficial production well located in Boca Raton, civil/mechanical improvements for three (3) surficial production wells and electrical and instrumentation upgrades at ten (10) surficial production wells in Boca Raton and Delray Beach. Work includes, but is not limited to, test well/pilot hole drilling, removal of existing screen and well casing through the overdrill method, mud rotary and reverse air drilling of boreholes, setting of casings and/or well screen, grouting, testing, well logging, video logging, pump testing, formation water disposal system (including temporary piping and pumps), well facility disinfection, fencing, driveways, clearing and restoration of well sites, new pump and motor including column pipe and appurtenances, well head, piping, electrical and controls including variable frequency drives, site work and restoration, The SBE subcontracting goal for this project is a mandatory minimum of 20% participation, see EBO Ordinance Section 2-80.27(1)(c), of which 5% shall be among certified African American and/or Hispanic American owned firms, see EBO Ordinance Section 2-80.27(2)(b). Bid proposals must be submitted on the forms provided by Palm Beach County and accompanied by a bid bond security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, money order or a bid bond in favor of Palm Beach County in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid price. A public construction bond (100%) will be required of the successful bidder within 14 calendar days of notification from County.
