In general the work consists of: The project will remove the existing packaged Reverse Osmosis (RO) system units located on the 2nd Floor and Basement of the Prairie Springs Science Center. The piping system will be combined so that one RO system will feed the existing piping loop that serve the 2nd, 1st and Basement Floors. This will allow for installation of one new, traditional RO system including filters, membranes, UV filters, sufficient storage capacity and circulation pumps. The new RO system will be located in the Basement Pure Water room. There will need to be minor wall demolition and new wall construction to enlarge the existing basement Pure Water room to make room for the new RO system equipment. It is the intent to have this new system match the RO System that was installed on the 4th Floor as part of Project 13B3H. The work includes, but is not limited to the work of a General Contractor, demolition, gypsum board, painting, Fire Stopping, fire protection system modification, Plumbing, HVAC, HVAC TAB, and Electrical work. Final Submicron Filters (Section 22 30 00) The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin 14 prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements 15 on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects 16 advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal 17 Davis Bacon Act requirements.
