Site work and paving for a civil project in Williamsburg, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

As of January 19, 2022, all bids were rejected as the bids received exceed the budgeted funds and the solicitation has been cancelled. The City of Williamsburg does not intend to re-advertise this project. The work under this project consists of maintenance of traffic, temporary erosion and sediment control measures, saw cutting pavement, brick pavers, CG-2 curbing, relocating existing granite curbing, CG-12 detectable warning surface, drainage pipe and structure, structure rim adjustments, pavement markings, and miscellaneous earthwork. The work generally consists of: Construction surveying, Clearing and grubbing, Maintenance of Traffic, Earthwork; including excavation, filling, and regrading, Installing erosion and sediment control measures, Saw-cutting and relocating existing granite curbing, Installing new brick pavers with associated mud slab, masonry sand, and edging, Installing detectable warning surface ramps (CG-12), Installing new concrete curbing (CG-2), Installing drainage structure and concrete pipe, Removing and reinstalling existing signs where required This project shall be constructed in accordance with: the plans; the Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Specifications, dated 2020; and the Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Standards, dated 2016 and revised May 2020; the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual (Revision 2), dated September 1, 2019; the 2009 edition of the MUTCD; the 2011 Virginia Supplement to the MUTCD; and Supplemental Specifications, Special Provisions and Special Provision Copied Notes in this contract. The DBE contract goal for this procurement is five percent (5 %). Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5 %) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Withdrawal of Bids due to error shall be subject to and in accordance with Section 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia and the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any minor non-substantive errors in the Bid.
