Site work for a water / sewer project in Lowell, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
For the furnishing of all labor and material for the construction of well house improvements at Well House No. 4 (Wells No. 10 and No. 11), with alternate pricing for well house improvements at Well House No. 3 (Wells No. 12 and No. 13). The bid opening will incorporate electronic and telephonic means in response to the COVID-19 health crisis as directed by Indiana Executive Order 20-08, 20-09, 20-18, and any further executive orders issued by the Governor of Indiana. The work consists of installation of new well pumps, pitless units, and other associated well house modifications for two new wells drilled under previously issued Contract A. COMPLETION DATE: This work shall be substantially completed by July 31, 2020 and fully completed by August 14, 2020. All contractors and subcontractors listed in each bid must be properly licensed in the Town of Lowell as a condition of being awarded the project. Contractors may contact the Lowell Building Department to inquire on General Contractor and Sub-contractor licensing and requirements, at 219.696.7794 ext. 230 or the Lowell website, Building Department for applications. No bidder may withdraw his proposal for a period of 60 days following the date set for receiving bids. The Town of Lowell reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 60 days, and said bids shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The Town of Lowell further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the contract to any Bidder all to the advantage of the Town of Lowell or to reject all bids. Details regarding call-in procedures can be found in the Instructions to Bidders, Section 00 21 13 of the Specifications. Representatives from the owner and engineer will be present on the call to discuss the project and answer questions. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Town of Lowell or an acceptable Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana. BONDS: Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. INDIANA REQUIREMENT: Standard Indiana Form 96 (Revised 2009) which includes non-collusion affidavit will be required.
