The scope of work consists of construction of slope stabilization mauka of Hana Highway at three locations, consisting of erosion control matting and high strength wire mesh with soil nails; and construction of slope stabilization makai of Hana Highway at one location. The estimated cost of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. To be eligible for award, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering "A" license at the time of bidding. Late submittals for this project will not be reviewed by the DOT. A separate SPO-Form 38 shall be completed and submitted for each product. A 5% bid adjustment for bidders that are parties to apprenticeship agreements pursuant to Section 103-55.6, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), is applicable to this project. Compliance with Act 192, SLH 2011 is a requirement for this project whereby a minimum of 80% of the bidder's work force on this project must consist of Hawaii residents.
