Site work and paving for a road / highway in Rock Island, Illinois. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of April 19, 2022, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. It is anticipated bidding will commence and construction will start in 2024. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Rock Islands Public Works Department is soliciting qualifications from firms interested in providing phase I and II services towards execution of a construction contract programed for early 2025. The 30th Street resurfacing project will be utilizing funds from the Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) program. Resurfacing on 30th Street is proposed between the area just south of the 5th Avenue intersection up to and including the 18th Avenue intersection. Water main construction and coordination of construction permits with Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) will be needed between 5th to 7th Avenues. The 18th Avenue intersection will require new signalization and turning lane improvements with a potential need to increase right-of-way. Guidelines provided by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will be utilized in the project development. The selected consultant will be required to provide a topographic survey of the project area.
