A timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Carlsbad (city) is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for design services from qualified engineering design consultants for roadway and bridge widening to El Camino Real (ECR), from Arenal Road to La Costa Avenue. Generally, the scope of work includes but is not limited to environmental review and permitting process; creating a complete street with buffered bike lanes, sidewalks, an additional southbound travel lane; and bridge widening. In addition, the project improvements would require additional right of way and utility relocation and coordination. This project proposes balanced multi-modal user enhancements to ECR from Arenal Road to La Costa Avenue utilizing complete streets concepts.
