The City of Eupora will accept sealed proposals from qualified Asbestos and Lead Base Paint Inspectors in connection with the 2016 HOME Grant to rehabilitate four (4) deteriorated houses and reconstruct two (2) dilapidated houses in the City of Eupora. These inspectors or inspector must be EPA Certified. There will be a total of six (6) asbestos inspections and four (4) lead base paint inspections. The proposers should be familiar with the HUD/HOME Requirements, Rules and Regulations as administered by the Mississippi Home Corporation. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. All Proposals will be rated on the following system to determine the best offer: Description and Maximum Points: Qualifications - 40, Experience in similar projects - 40, Capacity to do work in a timely manner - 20; Total - 100 Points. This project is funded by the HUD HOME Investments Partnership Grant and is a Section 3 covered activity as defined by the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (12 U.S.C.1701u) (section 3). Contractors and subcontractors are encouraged to provide, to the greatest extent feasible, training, employment, and contracting, opportunities generated by the expenditure of this assistance to low-and very low-income persons and business concerns owned by low-and very low-income persons, or which employ low-and very low-income persons.
