Site work and paving for a road / highway in Dubuque, Iowa. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This project provides for the reconstruction of Century Drive with concrete pavement, curb & gutter and sidewalks. This project was previously listed in the Annual Street Program CIP but is now separated out as its own CIP. The project will comply with "Complete Street" standards. The existing asphalt street is badly degraded and needs to be replaced. This street currently has no curb or sidewalks. The installation of sidewalks will provide an accessible route between Bies Drive and US 20 (Dodge Street) and provide pedestrian access to businesses. As of December 17, 2021, this project is currently in the FY 2022-2026 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2024. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
