. In accordance with Public Contract Code 20784 each bid must conform and be responsive to the invitation, the Plans and Specifications, and all documents comprising the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be presented under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond, made payable to the Owner, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. The said check or bidder's bond shall be given as a guarantee that the successful bidder will execute the Contract in conformity with the form of agreement contained within the Contract Documents, and will furnish bonds and insurance policies as specified within fifteen (15) days after notification of the award of the Contract to the successful bidder. The Contract Documents that the successful bidder must submit within fifteen (15) days of notification of award include, but are not limited to, a payment bond in an amount of at least 100 percent (100%) of the amount payable by the terms of the project contract and that satisfies the requirements of California Civil Code Section 3248, and a performance bond in an amount of at least 100 percent (100%) of the amount payable by the terms of the contract. A maintenance bond in an amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the final Contract amount shall be provided upon project completion, payable by terms of the Contract. All project bonds must be executed by an admitted surety insurer in accordance with applicable law and acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the sole right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor irregularities in a bid.
