Renovation of a mixed-use development in Augusta, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
A. ITEM I, BASE BID: Work includes general construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, and certain other items. 1. Installation and testing of a trailer mounted temporary boiler plant, including all required support piping, power, and controls connections. Bid shall state the anticipated duration of 12 months of temporary boiler plant operation and the associated rental costs. The bid shall also include a line item for guaranteed maximum price for each additional month of rental. 2. The setting of temporary office trailers for VA plant operators. 3. Complete demolition of the existing boiler plant systems once the hospital is connected to the temporary boiler plant. 4. Installation of a new complete boiler plant, including associated auxiliary systems and piping. 5. Demolition of abandoned roof mounted domestic water solar heating system. 6. Providing substantial support for the complete commissioning of the new boiler plant systems. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to commence prior to August 2023.
