Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Kentwood, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of 05/05/2022 are planning to rebid the project in August 2022 for 2023 construction. The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: 3,100 feet of street and utility improvements including bore and jack installation of a steel casing, sanitary sewer, water main, water services, storm sewer, concrete curb and gutter, hot mix asphalt, concrete sidewalk and concrete drive approaches. Including all necessary appurtenances and restoration. The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid with local funds. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to City of Kentwood in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of sixty (60) days after the receipt of bids. The project shall be constructed between April 25 and October 29, 2022. The Contractor shall have 20 weeks (140 calendar days) to complete the work once started. Some construction materials have been pre-purchased by the City of Kentwood. The award of the material purchase will be issued on March 2. Anticipated delivery dates for these materials are as follows: sanitary sewer pipe 8-12 weeks after award; ductile iron pipe and fittings 16 weeks after award; valves and hydrants 10-12 weeks after award; water service materials 14 weeks after award; and castings and covers 16 weeks after award. Contractor shall pay Owner $1,500 for each day that expires after the time (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) specified above for Substantial Completion, until the Work is substantially complete.
