Site work and paving for a road / highway in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Design plans call civil work for a road / highway.
Proj I-40 Pavement Preservation (Bernalillo and Santa Fe County Line) Fr: MP 182.5 To: MP 184 Project Desc.: Perform pavement preservation on I-40 EB and WB lanes. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As of January 5, 2021, an engineer has been selected. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. --- This work includes the preparation of plans and associated documents required to advertise and let the projects, and coordination of all design review meetings. Projects will be developed in two segments. The first five miles of I-40 pavement preservation (MP 170 to 175) will have a production date in August of 2021, at the latest. Selected Consultant to provide expedited schedule of delivery. The remainder of I-40 pavement preservation (MP 175 to 182) has a projected production date in October of 2021. Both projects will include all I-40 eastbound and westbound lanes, shoulders, segments of on and off ramps, and reconstruction at distressed areas along the project limits as needed. The shoulders along the project limits will be rehabilitated with a fog seal or a shallow mill and inlay. Existing electrified fencing will be removed and replaced with game fencing (NMDOT Item Number 607012). Electrified barriers at on and off ramps will be replaced with cattle guards. Removing and replacing power services (if necessary) will need to be coordinated to minimize outages. The existing horizontal and vertical geometry of I-40 will be maintained, and the interstate will not be widened. Existing pavement core information will be provided by the NMDOT. NMDOT will be responsible for utility coordination and determination of whether additional subgrade testing is necessary. Utility conflicts are not anticipated for the projects. NMDOT will be responsible for pavement design recommendations. Initial project kickoff meeting, Pre-final (60% completion), constructability review, final (90% completion), and PS&E (100% completion) plans for the two individual projects will be provided. Each submittal will be accompanied by an estimate of construction costs. Project plans will be prepared using NMDOT standards for general content and format.
