The proposed work includes the installation of approximately 13,000 linear feet of new 8-inch and 12-inch Cement-Lined Ductile Iron water main, including associated appurtenances, to serve the Village of Nyack Water Department. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Village of Nyack, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Owner, is in the best interests of the Owner. Bidders are advised that this project will receive funding from the New York State Environmental Facility Corporation (EFC) and the requirements of the EFC must be adhered to. The specific requirements are provided in the bid documents and include, but are not limited to, compliance with employment laws and development of a contractor plan for participation of minority- and women-owned business enterprises ("MWBEs"), Service-disabled veteran-owned business enterprises ("SDVOBEs"), equal employment opportunities ("EEO") and affirmative action. All questions received, together with answers, will be provided to all firms that have procured a copy of the contract documents.
