Contract No. 1 generally consists of construction of a new sewage pump station, construction of a new chemical storage tank and feed system, earthwork, site utilities and fencing. Contract No. 2 generally consists of the electrical construction for pump station and installation of emergency generator. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, and between the hours of 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the necessary bonds if the contract is awarded to him/her. A Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the estimated contract price, shall be required from the Successful Bidder. The Supplementary Conditions set forth requirements for the payment by the Contractor and all Subcontractors of minimum wage rates for all classes of laborers and mechanics as set forth by all applicable provisions of the PA Prevailing Wage Act, and the Bid shall be prepared accordingly. The Brady Township Southeast Pump Station project will be partially funded through the Commonwealth Financing Authority's PA Small Water and Sewer (PA SWS) grant program. The Gregg Township Municipal Authority reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids and to award either contract to the lowest responsible bidder for the total of all lump sum items. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid within one hundred twenty (120) days after the actual opening thereof. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
