Site work for a water / sewer project in Allenwood, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Contract No. 1 generally consists of construction of a new sewage pump station, construction of a new chemical storage tank and feed system, earthwork, site utilities and fencing. Contract No. 2 generally consists of the electrical construction for pump station and installation of emergency generator. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Gregg Township Municipal Authority, 16436 Route 15, Allenwood, PA. (570) 538-3313. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, and between the hours of 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the necessary bonds if the contract is awarded to him/her. A Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the estimated contract price, shall be required from the Successful Bidder. The Supplementary Conditions set forth requirements for the payment by the Contractor and all Subcontractors of minimum wage rates for all classes of laborers and mechanics as set forth by all applicable provisions of the PA Prevailing Wage Act, and the Bid shall be prepared accordingly. The Brady Township Southeast Pump Station project will be partially funded through the Commonwealth Financing Authority's PA Small Water and Sewer (PA SWS) grant program. The Contractor shall ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap status; and comply with the Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause included in the Supplementary Conditions, the Americans with Disabilities Act; the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, federal and Pennsylvania laws and regulations relating to non-discrimination and sexual harassment, drug-free workplaces and disadvantage business enterprises. The Gregg Township Municipal Authority reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids and to award either contract to the lowest responsible bidder for the total of all lump sum items. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid within one hundred twenty (120) days after the actual opening thereof. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Gregg Township Municipal Authority is an Equal Opportunity Employer Bidders are mandated to adhere to all compliance requirements associated with the PA SWS grant funding. The PA SWS Guidelines and Grant Agreement are included in the Supplementary Conditions section. Submission of a bid for this Project will be treated as the Bidder's acknowledgment of the PA SWS compliance requirement, and commitment to adhere to the same.
