Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Trumbull, Connecticut. Working plans call for the construction of a 5,500-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

As of March 19, 2025, construction has not started. This will bid out in a few weeks by the town purchasing. Construction is anticipated to start June 25, 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Town of Trumbull is seeking architectural services to support the design, building and construction of a unique, multi-purpose, veteran and first responder facility. The Trumbull Town Council has authorized this project in its Five Year Capital Plan and has established a formal building committee to oversee design, construction, fundraising and other aspects of bringing the project to fruition. That building committee is meeting regularly and will work with town staff to select the consultant. For Technical, questions please contact William Maurer, Town Engineer by email only at wmaurer@trumbull-ct.gov. To ensure consistent interpretation of certain technical items and to allow answers technical questions the Town deems to be in the interest of all proposers to be shared to all potential bidders, all questions should be made in writing. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any requirements, irregularities, technical defects or service therein when it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. As of November 11, 2020, a state funding for grants through the Small Town Economic Assistant Program has been approved. STEAP grants are coordinated by the Connecticut Office of Policy and Management, and grants are administered by the appropriate state agencies depending on the specific project involved. Under state law, STEAP grants can only be used for capital projects. Information regarding design firm and general contractor selection has not been released. The design and construction timeline have not been disclosed.
