Saving Project...

Site work and renovation of a civil project in North Miami Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

New Q and A End Date:Sep 01, 2022 5:00:00 PM EDT Pursuant to Section 287.055, Florida Statutes, The City of North Miami Beach ("City") is soliciting proposals from qualified Design-Build firms or teams ("Design-Builder") to implement a SCADA system upgrade for North Miami Beach Water. The City is a first-tier suburb in northeastern Miami-Dade County, which is in the southeast part of Florida. Located midway between Miami and Fort Lauderdale with excellent regional highway access, it is primarily a residential and shopping community. Its central location and easy access has made North Miami Beach one of South Florida's best known regional shopping areas and offers a wide variety of recreational, cultural, and dining experiences. The City provides water treatment and distribution, and wastewater collection for customers within its service area. The City's Water Service Area is comprised roughly of the area bounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the east; NW 37th Avenue on the west; NW 128th, NW 135th, NW 143rd and NE 146th on the south; and, Ives Dairy Road and Snake Creek Canal on the north. The City's Water Service Area is approximately 16,000 acres or 25 square miles in size. It includes portions of Aventura, Miami Gardens, and unincorporated Miami-Dade County. It also includes all Golden Beach, North Miami Beach, and Sunny Isles Beach. In addition to using potable water from its own water treatment plant, the City used to purchase treated water in bulk from the Miami Dade Water and Sewer Department (MDWASD) through bulk water purchase interconnection locations. Most of these interconnection locations have been beneficially altered to provide for Pressure Sustaining Valves (PSV's), emergency connections, or for Control Valves (CV's) that can be used to add water into the storage tanks at the City's Norwood-Oeffler Water Treatment Plant or Operations Center. In support of this service, the City operates various facilities that are monitored and controlled by Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)-based SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems. The City of North Miami Beach Water (NMB Water) utility recognizes the need to upgrade the SCADA systems. The City of North Miami Beach reserves the right to waive any informality in any or all proposals and to reject any or all proposals. This project estimate for the Design-Build services is approximately $3 million.
