Site work for a civil project in Stockton, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of the replacement of an existing concrete-lined stormwater channel with a vegetated retention pond. The retention pond will contain several bays, some for water retention and others for wetland habitat. These bay promote sedimentation and infiltration, natural water treatment, and marsh habitat. The Contractor shall partner with the California Conservation Corps (CCC) for labor to meet the requirements of the grant agreement as specified by the State of California Natural Resources Agency Urban Rivers Grant Program. The Contractor shall propose a component of the work, such as planting, for the CCC to assist in during construction. A California "A" contractor's license is required to Bid this Contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. Port specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, or rebid, or to waive inconsequential deviations from Bid requirements not involving time, price, or quality of the Work.
