Federal Project Aid No. STPG-HSIP(070) / City of Newport Bid #20-027, work shall include, but is not limited to, labor, materials, tools and equipment to install supplemental signage and curb extensions on Broadway, installation of a new traffic signal, and all specifications and details listed in the bid document. Questions may be asked until Friday, January 1, 2021 , 10:00:00 AM A surety bond for at least 5% of the amount of the bid, must accompany each proposal. The City of Newport reserves the right to reject any and all bids. All bidders are required to inform themselves fully of the conditions relating to the construction and labor under which the work will be or is now being performed and the contractor shall employ, as far as possible, such methods and means in carrying out this work as will not cause interruption or interference with any other contractor. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to perform full depth pavement reconstruction, install supplemental signage and curb extensions on Broadway, install a new traffic signal at Broadway at Friendship Street, and to perform the work of these Contract Documents and all included Items including: their associated Specifications and Details under the direction of the City. Construction items descriptions, materials and construction methods are identified within the City Standard Specifications for Construction within City Right-of-Way, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation's (RIDOT) Rhode Island Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, amended March 2018 with all latest revisions, and the Department of Justice American's with Disabilities Act Standards for Accessible Design, 2010 Edition with all latest revisions. The location of work shall vary throughout the City of Newport. All terms and prices shall remain in effect throughout the term of Agreement.
