All materials and work must meet PENNDOT Publication 408 Specifications and Standards. For the "2020 Paving Equipment Rental" contract and the "2020 Milling Machine Rental" contract the Bidders do not need to be PENNDOT prequalified. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Municipality. Proposals should be marked either "2020 Paving Equipment Rental" contract or "2020 Milling Machine Rental" contract. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to the City of Pottsville. The successful bidder of both contracts will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract amount within 20 days of the award of the contract. All bids will be opened and read publicly at 10:30 a.m. on Monday June 8, 2020 at the City of Pottsville City Hall and pending review awarded at the Monday June 8, 2020 regularly scheduled Council Meeting at approximately 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows. The City of Pottsville reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Municipality.
